One Response to “Kansas City Black Doctors”

    1. Agatha Tessa on July 30th, 2010 6:32 am

I found it to be very sad that when you search and search for an African American doctor and are fortunate to find one, the office does not accept Medicare and Medicaid patients. I worked all my life since I was sixteen years of age. I’m a senior now and didn’t retire with a large amount of Social Security. When I contacted Enompass Medical Group Hickman Mills Office Clinic, I was told they do not accept either insurance. They are located in my neighborhood so I would no longer have to drive so many miles to see a doctor. I understand why white doctors make so much money and have a very large amount of patients to see.
Our own race makes it difficult to be seen by a doctor that is really your choice. By the way, I was employed by banks for nearly thirty five years and NEVER had health insurance.
