Kansas City Line Dance and Two Step

K C Coolers Logo - Kansas City Line Dancing TroupeBlack Kansas City Line Dance and Two StepThe K. C. Coolers were founded by Ms. De Barker a local producer/promoter/certified aerobics instructor and choreographer, along with Rowz Cochran AKA “The Cool” a music producer and D. J. They worked at a club called Old School at 89th Troost in KCMO in 2001 and started a Line Dance night. That night soon became very popular so Ms. Barker developed a graduation program to show appreciation for the support students gave her classes.

The Cool gave these graduates an identity by adding an “ER” to his name creating the K. C. Coolers.

Today there are over 500 graduates. In August 2005 the Coolers won the Show Me State Line Dance Championship in a competition with Line Dancers from St. Louis. The K. C. Coolers incorporated as a non-profit organization in Missouri on November 1st 2005.  Ms. Barker along with her choreographer Kim Watson has patents pending for over 45 “Cooler” Line Dances. They continue to create new and exciting dances.

Other Coolers as Andre Medina “Dre 2000”, Vernon McNeil, Serita Gardner, Janeka Sullivan, Denisha Jones and “T Nasty” & Chrissy have also created very popular Line Dances.

Renita Shelton, a very talented Choreographer who used to be with the Cooler organization has branched off heading her own Line Dance Group.

Check out the KC Coolers for Line Dance and Two Step Fun!  They are the best!
