Miss Black Missouri USA Pageant- WINNER
Tayler Stewart was crowned Miss Black Missouri USA 2008. The pageantwas held on Nov 2 & 3 at the Gem Theatre. The Pageant included youngladies varying in ages from 17 to 27. Judges were top professionals in thebusiness, fashion, and sports industry. Stewart received over $3000 inprizes; in addition, the opportunity to compete in the national 2008 MissBlack USA Pageant along with an opportunity to receive an academicscholarship.
A portion of all contestants’ entry fees and ticket sales were donated to theAmerican Diabetes Association, nonprofit organization whose goal is toeffectively enhance public awareness through education and media supportaimed at preventing and curing diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.

For the first time ever, the Miss Black Kansas USA & Missouri USA Pageant was held at the Gem Theatre, Kansas City. Our Miss Black Kansas USA 2008 is Carlanda McKinney and our Miss Black Missouri USA 2008 is Tayler Stewart. These ladies will be at the national Miss Black USA Pageant that will be held in May, 2008
